The wife and I will be in Houston the first weekend in June and are looking for some things to do in the area around the Convention Center.

We're going to the Astros/Cardinals game on Friday nights, but we were looking for something to do on Saturday afternoon/evening/night.

Any chance you could narrow it down for us. Houston is a big city with lots to do.

How about Spamalot? It's playing at the Alley.

The Menil Museum is very interesting and not very well known. It may be my favorite collection in the city.

If you're looking for a restaurant, tryB4-U-Eat .

If you're going to the Astros, you should probably visit Spec's Liquors first. This is the big warehouse store in midtown.

Have a great visit.

since you're staying downtown, the museum district is near and has lots of options, or the zoo if the weather is nice but it will most likely be crowded.

see who's playing at the Continental or Warehouse Live for music options, and Verizon theatre, too.

Tons of eating options downtown/midtown, from the expensive to the funky. that is a whole nuther thread.

Spec's is worth checking out, especially if you appreciate wine. They really have an incredible selection, much more than their other stores.

you can go to the observation floor of the Chase tower, see all around. kinda cool.

If you're here for lunch on Friday, I say go over to the square and eat at Treebeard's.
