Hotel Icon in Houston

I've got to go to Houston for a weekend and saw some good rates for this hotel. Anyone stayed there and is there stuff to do within walking distance of this hotel?

My brother's old roommate used to work there. I hear it is a nice place. You could easily do worse.

cool place. stayed there a few months back, and I live in Houston. Just a night out with the wife downtown. I'd do it vs. the Magnolia.

Icon has an awesome gym...if you want to work out. Lots of decent places to hang within 10 minute walk too.

Stayed there - a definite must in Houston.

I lived a few streets away from it for over a year and a friend of mine and I went for dinner and drinks occasionally. Good spot.

I recommended it to a lot of friends from out of town who were looking for a good hotel and they all loved it.

Additionally, there's a rail stop 2 streets away at Preston/Main which means a quick ride to some fun places in Midtown as well as the museums, etc.

Give it a shot.

wellllll worth it.

the restaurant in there is also very good if you want to drop some coin on dinner.
