Hot Springs, Arkansas

So tell me about Hot Springs.

Wife and I are looking for something this Spring:

The reason Hot Springs came up is because we are looking for:

1. something/somewhere we haven't been
2. something for about a 4 day weekend
3. some place we can drive to from Austin in one day.
4. something relaxing without the kiddos.

Thoughts? Recommedations? Any one in general finding good bargains due to the economic slowdown?

In that region, also take a look at Eureka Springs and, potentially, Branson. Obviously, Branson isn't for everyone, but there are lots of restaurants, entertainment (not necessarily everyone's cup of tea), lakefront resorts, etc. Haven't been to Hot Springs, but have investigated it in the past and never went. Looks like it could be a nice time, though.
