Hosting a website

How do I go about hosting a website. I have already registered the domain name. What is the going rate for a low bandwidth website? Also, I have DSL with SBC and I seem to recall that the account comes with some webspace, but I don't know how to access it? Can anyone help?

SBC can tell you if you have a website, and how to access it. For other hosting options, I hear good things about godaddy and I personally use lunarpages. There are many many alternatives. The best thing to do is do a Google search and compare features.

For low bandwidth, look for something around $5/month if you can't do it from your ISP already.

i use nextwebsite and they have been fine. i don't know if they're considered good, great, terrible, or downright awful, but they've been fine for me and i'm too lazy to go out and research alternatives.
