I have Time Warner cable modem service here in Austin and have been getting some really poor download rates recently. There are times when we have gaps that last a couple of minutes when I can't surf and I get timeout errors in the explorer windows. When I try to download songs with something like Kazaa Lite I have the worst rates I've ever seen. The uploads from others are in the 70+ range and my downloads are lucky to ever reach 10 if I'm even able to find the songs and make a connection to the other user.
I use anti-spyware every so often and haven't really noticed any improvement just after deleting whatever they find. Any ideas? Does Time Warner just suck?
