Horns young receivers

Collins, Bruckner, and Williams just look loaded with talent. I feel like we are afraid to turn them loose. Broyles from Oklahoma is having a break out year, and I think a couple of our guys would to if we just let them play. It almost looks like we are afraid they are going to make a mistake. If I am wrong tell me why please.

We've thrown a lot to Buckner in the red zone. He probably needs to get a lot stronger and keep improving his route running to get in the game a lot between the twenties.

Collins missed the first game due to admin stuff but Colt looked for him several times against UTEP. I think his role in this offense will continue to expand this season as he's basically a faster Quan Cosby. I'd like to see Collins get a shot at returning punts/kickoffs as he's one of our fastest players, seems to have good moves and supposedly has the best hands on the team.

Kirkendoll made that nice TD grab from Chiles in game 1.

Williams starts but has only caught short passes. We haven't really thrown to him deep yet, but part of that is we're taking what the defense gives us. The short stuff has been there.

I think that Shipley and Quan have just been so good, they're both going to be out there 90% of the time, so you have four or five guys competing for one or two spots. All in all, I've been really pleased with what I've seen from our young receivers. Hopefully they can be difference makers against the likes of OU and Missou.
