Horns vs. TCU - Game Thread

TH should have known Ingram was gassed and not used him.

In fact, tcu had stuffed that quick handoff after a big gain every time today. It is totally predictable from TH.

Was it a terrible mistake by Ingram? Yes, of course.

Did TH make a totally bone head decision that contributed to the mistake?

Without a doubt he did.

So what if they expected him to run it? It would have been 2nd down with plenty of time remaining. You just don't fumble and you run it in the next play.

2 stupid brain dead plays lost this game. The defensive alignment on the last TCU TD was criminal. Lined DL on the outside and had no LB or S within the hashmarks. I mean absolutely criminally stupid D call.

Then Ingram with one of the other stupidest things I have ever seen in a football game. They have 4 downs to score and put TCU in a really difficult spot. Just protect the ball. Just insanely stupid.

Ready to get rid of Herman. Hire Patterson or Gundy. Herman is awful.

Might have been setting up the fake handoff ZR where Sam keeps it on the next play, too.

There was actually one second left when he left the back of the end zone we should get one play not that it really makes a difference or not. Officially the worst officiating I've ever seen

We would’ve found a dozen ways to lose to TCU. And that was one of them.

Sometimes hurry up play has its drawbacks

I'm. done. I'll be at my camper on Fork next weekend. Least the fish don't make dumb *** plays over and over. Dumb *** refs, dumb *** coaches and dumb *** players.

By this point we should be good enough to overcome the refs, but we suck too much to overcome ourselves. Even with a 4th year all American quarterback...

100% on Herman. Gave the game away with extraordinary bad play calling when Ingram fumbled. He should have replaced him. Also, why the H was he going up tempo on that play?

Bush league.

For anyone that thought I was being too hard on our boy Herman last week vs TT, no hard feelings.

I have lived in Fort Worth for a decade. I have seen Texas beat TCU exactly one time at Amon Carter, and that team was coached by Mack. One of those losses was the infamous Herman game where we had 9 rushing yards. Maybe my expectations are too lofty, but I’m not OK with being owned by Patterson.

This team is not smart enough or good enough to be anything more than what they are, a bunch of entitled kids coached by someone who’s only real claim to the job is he is better than Charlie, an incredibly low bar to meet.

Jake Smith really hurt us today too. Had a couple of nice catches, but that drop on 3rd down and not keeping his feet on the other 3rd down. Dude catch the damn ball. And I know that 2nd throw was low, but going down to catch it does no good. Have to try and catch it with your hands.

This is starting to feel just like Charlie's years in Austin. I expect 1, maybe 2 more wins this year tops. I used to get excited when a high school stud committed here, but no longer. Now I expect them not to be conditioned properly and get hurt, or get on the field and not be properly coached.
