9-10 FT's, 5-14 3PT's. Solid first half. 15 point lead going into locker room. We're playing our game. OSU is terrible.

10 point game with 8 to play VY. We had a 23 point lead a couple minutes into the 2nd. Felix is 0-6 from the arc.

Right--I am watching now. I had been watching football, and didn't know we were on.

8 points now.

23-32 from the charity stripe. Huge difference maker for us tonight. Give OSU credit for stepping up their press in the 2nd half - if gave us problems, and they started hitting shots. 0-7 for Felix from 3PT range, good lord.

And 7-31 overall. I think Smart is updating his plan every game... it just misfires a lot. No Ridley? No problem! Let's make 60 percent of our FG attempts three-pointers. But don't worry about making them.

Good win. this osu team is dangerous. Took ou to the wire this week. TCU only got beat by 7 AT # 1 KU today; BU (#22) had to make a last shot of the game to beat ttu; wvu played ou very close in Norman; only Isu had a double digit win (at ksu).

What a conference. Can't take any game or any team for granted.

Starting to see just a bit of "Havoc" defense. We're able to play it at about a 15% level right now. I don't know if our players have the physical prowess to rev it up to 50%-70%, but they're just learning Shaka's defensive system. If we could just improve learning and playing "Havoc" at a 5% per game clip, we'd be a team to contend with towards the end of Big XII play.

Very nice win. Every B12 team is a tough out. We're getting really dangerous at home. We just need to get our game to travel better. @WVU and @Kan are next up. I'd be very happy with a split. :bevo:

Sadly, the only thing I think we'll "split" with WV and Kansas is our pants.

DID YOU SEE THE SECOND HALF?
Just hoist threes, don't even hit the rim.
Never pass inside.... even to just move the ball.
Press defense... HA HA.

Lot of growing up to do.
This is certainly true.
Mack and Roach are making too many turnovers. Just not taking care of the ball sufficiently. Freshmen playing against the quality opponents in this league will definitely be challenged.

I am pleasantly surprised with how Ibeh is rounding into a better all around player. He's not committing as many fouls, and he made a shot that was not a slam dunk--had to bank it from the side. If Ibeh can begin to make a few shots from one or two feet then our chances go way up.

OSU is hammering Kansas by 20 points, with 2 minutes to go in the game.

OSU wins 86-67 over KU.

As I said before, the road is a dangerous place in this conference. It doesn't matter who you are.

Great win by the Horns tonight in a very hostile environment that could have gotten really loud. But, their solid play took the crowd out of the majority of the game; and when the crowd started to get it going in the last three minutes of the game, the Horns shut them up again with quality play. While I knew it would not be easy, this win did not surprise me. :bevo:

I don't usually respond to posts that are negative just for the sake of negativity, but since this was directly in response to one of my posts including a quote, I have to reply. I'm going to simply ask if you'd like to amend that statement? :smile1:

It was a sarcastic joke.....but I understand your point., and it was negative in nature...I agree. Thank goodness you don't respond to negative posts on this site, as you wouldn't be able to have any time to yourself...lol.....I'm excited as hell that we pulled the upset. Amazingly great win!

This was a great win. It's going to be very interesting Saturday to see how the Horns react to their road success in Morgantown. Kansas is reeling right now having lost 2 of their last 3 games. I expect Kansas to come out very aggressive Saturday and their crowd is one of the toughest in the B12. But I think the Horns have the talent and fortitude to take an early punch and keep fighting. I said that I'd be happy with a split. But I can't say I'm going to just assume a split at this point and box up my happiness for after the Kansas game. I know this team has the talent and coaching to beat Kansas. Shaka has certainly already demonstrated that he knows how to coach against Kansas. (VCU 71-61 beatdown of Kansas in 2011 Tourney Elite Eight.) I'm looking forward to Saturday's game. :bevo:
