Didn’t get to see it but Disu had 17 points and 4 boards so great first outing. Earlier this year the comments suggested Terry was being cautious to have Disu for conference play, and makes sense to get him in a couple of tune up games before then.

Not sure what to think about this team. Sort of struggled to put away an LSU team ranked in the 100-150 range, depending on what rating service you use, who lost to Dayton and Nicholls State. We need a signature win.

LSU isn't horrible. We're going to get into these offense-heavy battles with this year's lineup due to continuity in the defensive scheme. Beard didn't have his first group of transfers playing that kind of D immediately either.

Getting some minutes out of Disu is just the beginning for continued success with this group:

• Still way too many turnovers, especially from the guys considered to be the best distributors
• Shedrick and Onyema need to figure out some sort of rotation to alleviate each other
• Horton is cold right now but won't be forever

I think if these things are addressed in addition to a more-healthy Disu as time goes on, we should be fine for at least 10 conference wins. But if they stay the same, I'm not optimistic that we'd impress enough without a conference tournament run or something.

I have done that many times over he last few years for a lot of sports. When you have a lot of emotion tied up in this stuff, its sometimes easier not to watch.
