Horns v. Corns: over/under

I am really looking forward to this game tomorrow. NU plays a slow down style unlike any other in the big 12.

There is no reason we shouldn't handle them, and win going away. Not that it won't be a struggle for awhile, and test our young players. I think NU will be a frustrating game in some respects for our guys.

But I am curious what you all think about the following:

1) How many points do we need to beat them? I am tempted to say 55 will do it. Their slow down style plus our great defense= few points scored.

2) what is the over/under point total for the game score?
I'll say 105.

Thoughts?

The O/U should be closer to the amount of PPG that each gives up, so I'd say you could set it at 109 or 110 and I'd still take the over. Just like we haven't seen a team like them, they haven't seen a team like us.

65-54, Texas.

Just take care of business however is needed. Show-casing Matt Hill seems appropriate as he returns home in his only game as an upperclassman.

I'd have to go over 105 if that's the number. I'd say over 110. The 3 lowest scores in conference they have are 105, 117, and 119. The rest are far over that. And in that 105 game, Aggies scored 48 points. Good luck with Texas coming anywhere near that low. IMO, this is a bad matchuo for Nebraska. The real slow, half-court offense limits the scoring opportunities significantly. So to be successful you have to have a high conversion precentage of the attempts you take. And Texas is by far the wrong team to expect to convert at a high level. Most people see this as a struggle for us. I see a big blowout coming...the Texas defense will make it very hard to score, and with the much fewer attempts, it should get ugly. Also, I have a feeling when Texas goes up big early, Neb will have to play a faster pace outside of their comfort zone and it will get even uglier. I feel very good about this game and the style matchup.

If we have a big lead, and we have the final possession, then I would love for rick barnes to call a time out with 1 second left and design a play that'll let us hit a from deep outside.

A lot of 'one and done' for NU.
We dominate the boards and win 59 - 44

I'd like Barnes to keep a careful non-fouling line up on the floor.
