But Lundardi put out his first Bracketology (I know it's way early, but interesting to look at)......Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, 4 seed, if Horns win two, they get Kentucky.

Need to win, win, win and get a higher seed in a different region. Heard/saw a stat the other day that Kentucky's starting 5 have a taller average height than all NBA starting 5 except for 1 team.

And they're good. Ouch.

Kansas, Iowa State, OU and WV all in the top 25 with us.
It's going to be a great Big 12 chase.

It will either be a great race in the Big 12, or we will a have a couple of 5 loss co-champions. So many really hard places to play in this league on the road. Have been to games over the years at both the Kansas schools, OU., OSU and the loudest and most educated fans were at Iowa State. Was treated the best and KU and Iowa State. You have to hold serve at home and thank God for Tech, TCU and WVU. It is part of what makes this sport so special. Fans really can have an impact. For those old enough, think of the FEC during Wet-lick's last couple of seasons vs Pender's Runnin Horns in 1989-92 or so. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

WVU beat UConn the other day (they'll be pissed, but still, missing 3 key starters from last years NC team), OU beat #22 UCLA at Pauley (correction, at the Bahamas) by 10 points, and today Butler beat #5 UNC (makes a little room above the Horns) in the Bahamas as well.

The unfortunate injury to Taylor may prove a short-term test but a season-long benefit. Forces the team of 4 really good bigs to get rhythm with other point guards. They'll need that down the stretch, whether due to injury or just regular substitution.

The game last night was lucky timing --- gave Barnes a little rope to force in other PGs, since neither Felix nor Taylor could play, and the competition was kind of weak.

And, man o man, you know sumpin' ? That Miles kid is pretty good, huh?

Something else I noticed the other night watching the St. Francis game. Subtle indications.

One might expect Taylor or Felix to be a bit down, present and accounted for on the bench, and politely applauding team play, but down.

No, they were amped. Late in the game as both teams flooded the court with guys who seldom get to play, both Felix and Taylor were cutting up with a fan (or maybe staff member) behind them regarding the play of those thankless practice squads guys.

The two PGs were also like that during the game, actively cheering on their replacements while they heal.

You see this with regard to (and FROM) Miles; admittedly the bluist of chips with uber upside, he's still an 18-year old kid, but accepts his role as a non-starter, learning, working hard. The other players who've paid a lot more dues (e.g., Holmes, Ridley, Lammert, Ibey) all seem to embrace Miles and they seem to be having a lot of FUN (maybe they all see the possibilities this year?).

I'm a bit giddy about this team, and they're going to lose a few (maybe UK, one of KU, an ISU, OU, WVU, etc.), and could even fizzle, but right now I fully expect this team to get at least to the Elite 8.

Depending upon seeding and opposing draws, then it's a crap shoot.

Okay, premature, let's let the season roll on.
