Arizona State got a double, terrible throw by Texas outfielder but runner is thrown out going to third. Looked like a single to me. Sun Devils are very aggressive on base path. Texas coming to back in bottom of the 2nd trailing 2 to 1.

Etier hit a hard line drive and the third basemen made a diving catch. Top of the third, already 1 out for Sun Devils. Stafford is throwing more strikes than Ariz. State pitcher and yes the heat is a factor. 100 degrees at game time.

Payton bunts Shepherd to third, almost beat it out. Took a great throw to get him out. Loy hit a weak grounder for 2nd out. 2 outs runner still on third.

Walsh strikes out for 2nd time with runners in scoring postion. His at bats were very poor. He swung at bad pitches and took strikes right down the middle.

It's funny how we can watch situations like this all season (runners on corners with 2 outs) and still have almost no hope. I remember thinking that was automatic around 5 years ago.

You can't start with a man on 2nd and no outs and leave him on base, going through your #2 through #5 hitters. Shame. Awful 3-pitch K.

No error and 2nd out on interference. Then pop up and inning over. Unfortunate inning for Sun Devils. Good inning for Texas. Bottom of the 4th. Sun Devils 2 Texas 1.
