I love watching this team play D. They are so disciplined about not leaving their feet. And they are constantly moving. Obviously the other team is going to make shots, like Badgers making flat-footed 3-pointers. But, Barnes has this team playing great fundamental defense. With our athleticism - mucho upside.

We're a good defensive team, but we gave up too many open looks. They killed us from three.

Odds are against teams making 3's. Obviously you can do better always, but I'll take the tight interior D and let the outside shooters take their chances.

UW is a good three pt shooting team. We did give them way too many open looks. There were a couple of times where our guys didn't help out on mismatches down low after a man switch.

I thought we rebounded very well though. UW is not as big as they were last year with Butch in the middle, so I expected a good rebounding edge (ended up 38-22).

But, overall the defense was there, but has been better. UW ended up shooting 42% overall (47% from 3). They are extremely well coached. Ryan is a good coach, but I got sick and tired of all the shots of him whining and complaining.

Did you all notice how the tv crew let themselves distracted and made us miss the steal that gave us the lead for good? Otherwise good coverage but stay with the game.

Yeah, I had to rewind it a bit to see a split second shot of Balbay laying the ball in..Wish I could have seen the steal.
