Horns at LSU

This is a game we should win with any of our recent efforts. However I’m worried that we tend to play to the level of our competition.

Horns favored by 1.5 in Baton Rouge.

31-25 Horns at half. Ho-hum.. showed some flashes of good defense in the 2nd half. They keep trying to feed Tre and it seems he is pressing just a bit on offense.

Final 89-56 Horns. Wow amazing 30 pt conference win on the road. This team needed that. 3 of next 4 at home.

I’m sure Chop will be on soon predicting the Natty for Tournament Terry.

What an excellent victory!!! A harbinger of things to come.

It's always tough to go into Baton Rogue and beat the Tigers in any sport. One more win and we'll be 0.500 in conference (I think).

This was an absolute must-win if the Horns are going to make the NCAA tourney, and they get the big road win. Texas still needs to find 5 more wins in the last nine games to ensure a berth. They went 4-5 against the teeth of their conference schedule in the front nine. The back nine are tough but not nearly as tough as the front nine were and going 5-4 is realistic but not a given. Arkansas at home is pretty close to a must-win too and they just beat Kentucky at Rupp so its no given.

Any sport is correct. The baseball and track teams will be there before the end of May. Texas does not appear to have the sprinters to keep up, and baseball at night seems to be equivalent to football at night there (before Kelly anyway).

What I remember about past LSU baseball teams--they're like a slow pitch softball team with slugger after slugger hitting homeruns and deep doubles and triples.

Don't know if that's the current LSU model though...?

LSU is living in a rare-for-them sports drought now. Their football sucks, their basketball sucks. Maybe their baseball will pull them through.
