So Mizzu, Auburn, Clemson, BYU, Kansas and Tech are all better than the Horns? I don't think so. But I like the idea of being the "surprise" dark horse a lot more than the overrated front runner. This will be fun season. I hope we jack up a lot of peoples' dream seasons and return them to the reality that they suck.
 
I'm tired of being ranked high to start the season. 15 is about right in my opinion. Let's show some fuckin' balls and win some big games. Then we'll be ranked just right.
 
I have no problem with any ranking yet, so long as we are ranked. This is going to be a brutal season and for that reason probably the most important season we have for a while. This is the year where we can finally prove or dismiss the perception that we are an under achieving team that only wins with NFL caliber talent.

If we can emerge from the season with only one conference loss I will be happy and we will have broken the string of under achievement.

This is also a banner year for getting our extremely talented young players some experience. If we can get our younger guys to play gritty football we may set ourselves up for a MNC and a couple of conference title in the next two or three years.

So let the rankings fall where they may, the teams main concern for the season should be surviving with one or fewer losses.
 
I agree. Just take care of our business each game and we will get what we deserve. Especially with the schedule we have. Hell, we could be NR to start and we would still be near the top at the end - even with one loss.
 
Last season we had a few too many close games against teams we should have clobbered due to overconfidence. Hopefully this lower than usual ranking will get us in the mindset we were in going into ASU.
 
Coaches poll has us at 10 ahead of Kansas and TTech.
OU and Mizzou are 3rd and 7th.
All five in the top 15. Good showing for the Big 12.
