Driving in from Denver for the game, parking near their baseball fields to the west of the stadium and walking the 30" trek to downtown area. Part of what I was looking forward to was opening up a can of Shiner and enjoying that as I made my stroll south of the stadium. Sounds like from the original post that brazenly displaying my choice of adult beverage isn't the smartest thing. Reading too much into this? Show some discretion and pour into a coffee cup? Enquiring minds want to know.

Okay, this is our 4th time in Lincoln for football.
As y'all may remember, in 2002 and 2004 (bbrrrr) we had tailgates on private property (due to strictly enforced open container law) complete with flying of the blimp. Unfortunately, due to the costs of those tailgates and the difficulty of getting any private property close to the stadium post-summer, I have decided that our last trip to Lincoln should mirror our first trip there.

Therefore, as we did in 1998 (before HornFans existed), we plan to meet at Barry's Bar and Grill (website) at 9th and Q streets.

The website says that they open at 11AM on Saturdays, but I just called and they said they are opening early at 10AM. Katy and I plan to get there about 9:30-ish and wait to get in to get a couple of tables in front, but we'll see how it goes.

Either way, travel safe and hopefully we'll see y'all in Lincoln
