Did the new provider give an explanation on the throttling that impacted server speed yesterday? I don't recall similar issues with last year's season opening debacle...

Early in the game when the server performance started lagging I got on the phone with them, and they brought up a couple of extra servers to handle the load. After that the speed was pretty good, until right at the end when there was a huge spike in traffic.

On Wednesday of this coming week we are going to do some additional work to make sure the infrastructure can auto-scale to handle spikes like this. If they are unable to nail this down I will find a provider who can and move the site again. ****** performance is not acceptable.
