That is great. If there was some way to get the pictures from the posts with pics into that document, it would be the tits.

And I made it into the recipe collection!
 
Thanks for the putting this together. I would be happy to host the Word doc for you, if the site you are using is a pain. I'd rather leave it to you to keep it up to date and formatted as you have. The board itself is searchable and linkable, and works well enough for new recipes.

I have thought that we might want to "publish" a HornFans cookbook based on this board sometime in the future. It would make a good sponsor gift. We could sell them and send the proceeds to some worthwhile charity.

Your file is a good start.

BTW, please don't ask for the mods to do something in a post. We get a lot of posts and it is very likely that it could be missed. Just post and then call it to our attention via the Notify Moderator button

Not sure why I grabbed that one. It must have just jumped out at me as an easy one pan dinner. There really isn't much rhyme or reason why some things gots picked up and not others.

I have an update in the works with some of the more recent posts, as well as some changes a couple posters have requested to their recipes. If you got something to add to this update, send it in a PM, or post your recipe in a new thread and try to alert me via PM to make sure it gets added. If you want something removed or amended, nows the time. The next update has a few pictures included as well.

Some things that I think would be good to add, if anyone in interested in doing the write-up, or even an outline to get started:

a BBQ intro, describing the various styles of Texas BBQ, different cooking methods, and the qualities of different smoking woods.

A chili intro.

This thing is in much need of an update. I am pretty sure that posts on this board do not expire. When I am done with my qualifying exams I'll try to go thru and pick so recipes to add.

Still need someone to write up the definitive introduction to Chile and one for Brisket.
