HornFans Appreciation Thread

Sponsor Deputy
As we dig into what looks like a great football season, this site will only become busier with prediction threads, game analysis and other great threads that both entertain and educate. None of this would be possible without @Dionysus.

He saved this site many years ago and keeps it going strong all on his own. As with many things in the economy, ad revenue is not growing so that means we all need to become sponsors. If you are a longtime poster without being a sponsor, it is time to sponsor. It does not have to be a lot, but it all helps. Thanks in advance for becoming a new sponsor.

Horns up Dion! :hookem::bevo:

Come on folks, if you’re reluctant to make a monthly (no matter how small) contribution just do an annual like me. I assure you Dion could use any amount this site requires a lot of time and effort and only one guy does it all.
Thanks Dion, my life would be a lot less fulfilling without my much appreciated HF.

We sometimes make it so hard for Dion and he is always so polite. I "THINK" I have learned to not make political in on the field. At least i am trying.
How many of us log into HF first thing every morning?
Nash said it perfectly.
IF you post here donate here.

I give once annually. When I think of the number of minutes I am trolling these boards, and divide my annual contribution into that, well, let's just say Dion makes a lot less than minimum wage off of me. In fact, he may make less than a Nike shoe assembler in China or Vietnam.

Give up one six pack of beer every month, and put that money towards your Hornfans habit instead. Your liver will thank you, and Dion will thank you.

A Horns Up salute, Dion, for an outstanding job of keeping this site a place of enjoyment and education in an environment of civil exchange of knowledge. Great job, my friend, thank you.

Dion has had my banking information for several years and debits it monthly on the same date each month without there ever having been a problem. If you receive any enjoyment at all from HornFans (even you Sooners & Aggies) I encourage you to become a sponsor even if it means passing your Five Guys burger, fries, & drink once a month to donate that $15.

Out here...in tiny Marathon..there’s only 400. You ARE Hornfans!....an altogether essential part of my football season and overall entertainment. Will Allen lives here too..he played online for Vince. Thanks Dion!

Out here...in tiny Marathon.

You live in Marathon? You're right it is a tiny place, but I love the Gage Hotel. They have some awesome cocktails in that tiny bar they have. We were trying to plan a long weekend in October just to stay there for a couple days and make a day trip to Big Bend again, but they book up so far out.

The Gage has a list of recommend AirB&B’s. The surrounding ranchers will never subdivide so we won’t grow like Marfa. I highly recommend the Post and the Gage Garden...both lonely oasis’s.

I actually prefer the least visited National Park of all...Guadalupe Mountains National Park..there’s no roads however. It’s much wetter, higher and there are secret canyons with crystal clear swimming holes. Around Halloween, when the maples turn....mixed in with the Texas Madrones..in a deep canyon setting, it’s something to behold.

I'm very jealous you live in lovely Marathon and I live around 8 million people in DFW! Hope to stay at The Gage next time I'm out that way.

Thanks Worst..the 50 mph winds blast us every three days in our typically dry springs..when that happens you might just wish yourself to the devil, like I usually do. But summers are rainy season and nights always cool..I only need AC in the afternoons...never at night or morning. 4040 elevation

Back to the great thread by the HF Sheriff!

Dion is one man in a row boat and doing a terrific job keeping the band together!!

Time to step up if your not already a sponsor, whatever you can afford. It all adds up.

:hookem: :hookem:

Please join us in sharing in the sacrifice to keep this site going. Dion would immensely appreciate everyone’s support. :hookem:

C'mon, folks - where else can you get the entertainment you get from Hornfans? Throw a few bucks into the pot - if you're not already a sponsor, DO IT NOW! :hookem:

Dion
Are you getting any new donations from people who have not donated?
I see posters with thousands of posts who have not donated.
It is astonishing to think they are OK with you doing it all at your own expense
