Headed to Baton Rouge to visit girlfriends little sister next weekend. So I'm looking for a place there to watch the Baylor game. Any help will be grateful.
Three places I've been (all within two miles of each other)
1) Champs on Corporate - exit I-10 on College & go north one block. Turn right on Corporate and go about a mile to large commercial center on left (PF Changs, a steakhouse, Starbucks, dozen or so restaurants. Champs is in that development.
2) Holiday Inn on Constitution - exit College, go South about 25 yards and turn east; go past Chilis, Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, Ruth's Chris, and Holiday Inn is on right (maybe half mile). Sporting News Restaurant & Bar is there. Lots of tvs but piss poor service. Probablly your best bet to watch all our game. Booths have individual small tvs and there are large tvs everywhere. No matter where you sit, you can see a big screen.
TJs Ribs - exit Acadian ThuWay and turn north. Go about 100 yds - La Quinta on your right TJs (also known as BRs) is on your left. Lots of large tvs throughout all the dining rooms and smaller tvs at bar. Food is good there, service is excellent. It's the home of Billy Cannon's Hype$man (in a case at front door).
Again, of the three I'd try the Holiday Inn and getting a booth because when LSU/Bama starts at 2:30, you won't see our game except maybe one tv at TJs.
Thanks for the info, but the weekend I'll be there they are playing la tech at night. So since our game is at 11:00 would you still Recommend going to the holiday inn? Thanks!
Check to see what SEC games are on opposite us. Champs has a very large (20 ft) scrren and better food.
The Holiday Inn has small TVs at your booth (only in booths) and large (50") Tvs all over the restaurant. I can give you the managers name. when I find her card. You can see at least three of the big TVs from any table or booth.
I doubt seriously there will be many people at either. I just think the volume will be available at HI that may not be available at Champs.
BTW, the Champs is owned by a group out of San Antonio, which may help with getting the game on the big screen. You might drop by and ask. Audio is hte problem
