Hoover's restaurant

I went to Hoover's on Manor for lunch today. It was my first time. Good stuff, huge portions. I wish I had room left for dessert.

I did notice that my girlfriend and I were about the only one's in the place that weren't noticbly overweight, but after eating there, I know why. The food is awesome, but its not exactly healthy.

Just be sure and order a side of the creamed spinach, your whole meal should then be taken care of in a few hours. Hell, sometimes I can barely make it back to the office.

If you haven't tried the meatloaf, it's pretty damn good!

I like Hoover's a bunch, but Dot's is the place. It's out off of Howard Lane.

The guts at that place are unrivaled.

My girlfriend and I split the portions - that's the only way either of us can finish it.
Damn good food, though. Dot's, too.

Love that place. I can feel my arteries harden each time there. The sides, mates as they call them, are delcious and also a large portion. I have never had desert there. I always end up bringing some of it home in a doggy box. So it is two meals for one price.

What did you order? I like the pork chops w/ potatoes (extra gravy on both) and either the spinach or another order of taters (mashed of course). Iced Tea to drink, please.

I've been pimping Hoover's in the best burger, best wings, and best barbeque threads. Hoover's is more than just great home cooking.

Ate at Hoovers for the first time tonight. I had the pork chops with mashed potatos and macaroni & cheese. I enjoyed the food, but have had better. Stone House Grill makes better pork chops. My girlfriend had the sausage sandwich, and she loved it (no jokes please). My brother on the other hand ordered the New Orleans Muffelata or something like that and hated it. He literallly took one bite and couldn't stomach the olive spread that was on there. The waitress was nice enough to let him re-order, so he got the catfish po boy which was ok, but definetly nothing special. Oh, the brownie and ice cream were really good, but my poor brother did not like his lemon chess pie. Poor bastard was 0 for 3 tonight. I'm glad to say I tried Hoovers, and I'll probably go again, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
