I went there last weekend and found the food pretty good. I had the chicken fried steak, and although it wasn't as big as ones at other places, it was pretty good. My mom had the ham steak with a jalepeno spinach side dish and she loved it.
A lot of people I know like to go to Threadgill's when they come to Austin...I would much prefer Hoover's. At Hoover's the food doesn't taste like it just came out of a microwave. I think Hoover's will be one of my pre-game meals next fall.
