They aren't really in the same class. Sort of like comparing a Maxima to an Accord. One's in the low to mid 20's, and the other is high 20's to mid 30's.
In the CRV market, you have the Rouge and Rav-4. Rouge is crap, and I'd take the Rav over the CRV.
In the Murano market, you don't really have a direct comparison at Honda. At Toyota, you have the Highlander, and the new Venza that are similar in size and price.
In General, Nissan quality has gone straight downhill since Renault has taken over. They have also leaned towards much cheaper interior materials. One area that Honda certainly excels at. I do like the Murano, but I just have issues with Nissan's new found domestic level quality and attention to detail.
Let's do this. Look for the good looking Asian guy in the fully loaded blue Rogue.
All honesty, I do drive a Rogue, it fits my needs. I like it, but I am not brand loyal at all and have been thinking about getting a camaro so that chicks may go out with me once I tell them the car costs 60k.
The best Honda comp to the Murano would be the Acura RDX (Acura being owned by Honda). We looked at both for my wife and got the RDX because (1) the new Murano is in it's first year, so there's no reliability history and (2) we could get the RDX for several k less than a comparably equipped Murano. But for those two issues, we would have gone with the Murano.
I'm just playing with you Ram, but in all honesty, it would take a lot of finagling for me to choose the Rogue over the CR-V or Rav. But not as much as convincing me to take it over say anything from Korea, or the domestic market.
