Home Theater Question

Uninformed

I built an inexpensive home theater in a basement room: Not really home theater but a good projector and screen, a blue ray player, and a good yamaha sound bar. The reason for using a sound bar with subwoofer is that the original purpose of the projector was to use out by the pool and I needed sound that was portable. Since I already had the soundbar, it was much more practical to use that than to buy additional speakers, receiver, and wire everything.

Anyway, to my question. We don't have cable wired into the room. I can do it, but it would be a pain in the butt. Is there any way to get UT football games on the projector? Justintv is too slow on my wireless network and it would probably look pretty bad projected. Anyway, I'm not sure of the possibilities, but I figured someone here would know. I've heard people on this board talk about slingbox but I know nothing about it.

Anyway, let me know if anything would work. If not, it isn't a big deal as I already have a high def home theater system in the family room. It would be fun though, especially if I have a football party.

you could use a slingbox which would need to be set up with a cable/satellite box and into your home network and then use your computer to hook into the projector. If it is all on the home network it should be able to move the HD signal to the projector and not lose too much of the picture. However there has to be a better way to go directly from the box to the projector. If it is just a one time thing go get the coaxial and just run it through the house exposed.
