Moving into a new apt and thinking about getting a sound system. Don't mind dropping a few hundred if necessary, but dont need anything over the top. Recommendations?

All I have is a DVD player and a 32" LCD TV (720p).

Today's ad in the Statesman says the R50 is $120/pair in black. (Not an endorsement -- I don't know anything about the speaker.)

Your right, those speakers are not $50 they are $59. Still quite a deal since the original price is 199 each. I will be there in 10 mins seeing as I live 3 blocks away. Get them while they last!

I think Fry's "everyday" price is $200/pair. Still, it's a good deal if the speaker doesn't suck.
