Just throwing out some love for some friends of mine who just opened up a pizza joint on S. Congress. If you like NY Style Pizza, go check it out. Good people btw........

you should really check out the site. The cook went back to NY and apprenticed for a NYC Pizza Owner.

I hope they do well.

I enjoyed it. They appear to have already established a healthy take-out following as well. And the girls...a ton of hot chicks dropped in for dinner and hot chicks are always good for business.

We had take-out from there this past Monday. Enjoyed it.

My wife actually did the pick up and said it was really crowded. Hope they do well.

Thanks I will try it ,

Hey MilkmanDan, What's up Home Slice is exactly what they mean. Kind of clever, IMO.

BTW, I'll be trying the place over the holidays. It will be good to be back in Austin.

My buddy went there last friday and was very confused. He and his friend sit down and say "we want two slices of pizza" and the guy says "we dont have slices". He says "huh?? The name is Home Slice, Pizza by the slice" and the guy says "not at night".

Interesting story on the "no slices at night ..." We stopped by for lunch yesterday, and the pizza was good. Had two pieces and a coke for about $7.50 - totally reasonable IMO. Pizza was a bit greasy, but they had great variety and the slices were HUGE!

I'll go back.

Picked up 3 pies for my family & some friends last night . . . they were pretty good. The crust is a little dense for my taste. It's thin, which is good, but it was too dry and not light enough. The toppings were first-rate, the cheese was good, and so was the sauce. The atmosphere, staff, and clientele were great, which is just my luck, as I sold my house maybe 2 blocks from there a few months ago. I had always wanted to see a pizza joint go in.
