Home Networking Question

I recently started working from my house and need to retrofit my new office with a telephone and internet. I have an ethernet bridge to connect my wireless router downstairs to the new office. I also need a phone and understand there is a similar device that will create a telephone jack from an electrical outlet.

My question to the networking experts is: Can I use two devices, one for ethernet and one for telephone, at the same time without them interfering with each other?

Is there another option that I am missing?

Use a DECT 6.0 wireless phone system rather than the telephone jack in an outlet solution. Choosing a phone that meets the DECT 6.0 spec will avoid interference with your wireless internet access. I have a Panasonic system that I got at Costco that I'm completely satisfied with.

I looked up the DECT 6.0 phones and I don't think they get me what I need. Am I missing something?

I have a hands free headset that I use when I'm on conference calls and it needs to be plugged into the base of a phone in order to be used. A cordless phone looks like it would work for short conversations, but I spend 50% of my day on the phone so I need something I can use hands free.

My other option is a Polycom speaker phone, but it needs to be plugged directly into a phone jack that is less than 20 feet or so from the phone.
