I can't say I've ever made it through Infinite Jest, but his essays on the AVN Awards and conservative talk radio in Consider the Lobster are outstanding. Rest in peace.

People kill themselves because of depression. Some cannot be saved from themselves but most can if a friend or colleague intervenes. We should try to keep this in mind as a number of people in Pomona sort through why they did not do anything.
