They talked about this today on the Dan Patrick Show. She was just doing her job. There is a contract in place that ESPN gets the very first interviews. The coaches know it too. The other reporter may or may not have known it but Holly was doing what she had to do as part of her job. I am sure her bosses gave her props for it to. She may have gotten in trouble had the other reporter been allowed to jump the line.

She is not easy on the eyes by any stretch of the hetero imagination but she did her job well that night after the game.

it looks bad, but the reality is that she's the one with a live feed and a national audience expecting an interview. She's supposed to get down there, get on camera and get the quotes and do it now. An "excuse me, but we have to go live" would have been nice and who knows, maybe she said that. But she doesn't have time to sit there and wait for this person who may or may not get out of the way when asked politely.

If there is some directive about ESPN or whoever is doing the national television broadcast to get dibs on interviews, then it should be known to every reporter in the building.

Her shoving another reporter out of the way is still pretty tacky. If anything, it shouldnt have been Holly Rowe who did the shoving, but a handler.

HOLLY interviewed the TEXAS sideline during the MNC in 2006....I think she's good at her job....she cleans up well, too...

Not to pile on, but they also may have had a quick out to throw it back to Bristol and the technical director told her she had to be quick and didn't have much time altogether. So, she huffed and puffed her way on to the field knowing she had very little time to begin with. This would have been much better with a little hair pulling though.

Regardless of whether the other lady was supposed to be there or not and while I'm all for ESPN in getting what it's to be accorded by all the $$$ it throws around, Holly sure knows how to use her elbows & throw her weight around... it's one thing to be a *****, but it's another to show it on TV! Just show a little class...

The other girl should have sliced her achilles tendon on her right foot, then every time she tries to plant on it to make that shove with her left elbow she'll drop the elbow and left shoulder exposing her chin and nose to the other reporter's backhand. She'll quit the game.
