Holiday Tourneys

Wow, these tournaments seem to be taking an early toll on some great teams.....

Baylor upset by Wisconsin by 1...Arizona St. upset by Florida (as both were mentioned earlier)....NC only won by 4 against Oregon St. TX A&M wins by 10 against Pepperdine in the last 3 mins.

Anyway, my point is that if we can come away from this tournament with a 7-0 record, we should really be able to jump up in the polls. This team is getting more and more exciting!!!!

It's early now though, and the teams that are losing games they shouldn't probably won't when it counts. I'd just as soon not lose any, but of course we will! LOL! It looks like we'll most likely be undefeated when Tennessee comes to town. Hope we can take that one, it would feel so good!!!

If you look at the recruiting classes for 2009 it is clear that the talent is being spread around much more so than in the past. TV coverage is great and there are teams that get exposure that they would never gave received before and that allows these players to get a look and a feel for teams than previously would have been hidden in obscurity.

Looks like Baylor choked their game away. They were up with 3 or 4 minutes left and apparently shut down offensively for the remainder of the game. And Jones missed 2 FTs with no time on the clock..OUCH...tough way to lose a game.

The Lady Bears are very up and down this year. We beat #2 Stanford by 16 and then lose to an unranked Wisconsin team. Mullkey was pissed. I feel sorry for our next opponent, St. Johns.

After watching OU play tonight, I think Texas is the best team in the conference. I haven't been impressed with A&M. The Bears will be good, but are prone to have off nights. Mulkey doesn't seem to have too much faith in her bench at this point.

From watching the Baylor box scores, I don't see much consistency from Morrow. She absolutely seems to disappear in some games and that you never know if or how much she is going to contribute. She will probably save her best games for Texas.
