Hilary under the Bus

God I love watching the train wreck that American politics has become.

4 months ago Hilary was the Bush-whacking, god-given annointed chosen American savior.

Now people are hopping off her bandwagon faster than Aggies at Reed arena.

Obviously I make no distinction between the right or the left - it would be the same from either side but since the demo primary is essentially the general election it's much more interesting.

It's also interesting how the west mall microcosm accutately reflects the general mood.

Watching our left-leaning posters abandon her after years of putting her on a pedestal without the slightest bit of shame.

Did people hate her all along but pretend they didn't due to blatant partisan cheerleading? Probably a lot of that. Most likely there wasn't much of an opinion other than she was on 'my side' so I have to pimp here and denigrate the other guy.

Should be fun watching the left go after McCain and McCain scratch his head trying to figure out how to go after Obama.

I never liked or disliked Hillary. However, after the last few weeks of discourse from her camp, I am starting to lean toward the dislike category.

Oh, baloney HHK- you know better.

She's never been genuinely popular in her own right outside of baby boomer women, even among Democrats, and if it wasn't Obama right now it would be Edwards or Bayh or somebody else. Or else it would just be a dispirited party going through the motions and half heartedly falling in line like we did Kerry, who we also didn't especially like.

I can't think of anybody on this board or who I know from Democratic political activity in real life who "put her up on a pedastal". In fact, I've often espoused the theory that it was Republicans who kept her relevant for the last 6 years.

Where did anyone in this thread call her a *****?

But to respond to your non sequitur:

Nor do I, in general. But when powerful women act like *******, people viewing their actions might start to think that way. Cause, effect.

I've always been in the "please Hillary don't run, but I'll vote for you in the General if I have to camp". And I pretty much like her, but......................if she continues to divide the Democratic Party with any shenanigans about Fla, Mich., lawsuits, and Superdelegate machinations, she's on my **** list.

I have not contributed $ to her campaign, but will if she's the nominee. This country needs a break from our GOP Overlords.

A) The true left on this board could probably be enumerated with half a hand.
B) The left has always disliked hillary, her triangulating machinations really deserved payback.
C) The netroots always preferred Obama or Edwards, since the begining easily 3-1.
