Manvel forward Jordan Hosey has known Higgs since Higgs moved to Houston from the Bahamas in middle school. Hosey and Higgs — both future Longhorns — were West teammates on Wednesday but will be separated in Brooklyn.

“It’s going to feel weird in a way, because we get to play with each other here and then I have to play against her in the last all-star game that we’ll be playing in,” Hosey said. “I’m going to have to tell my teammates what she can’t do, so I hope she (doesn’t) get mad.”
