Under Armour All-American linebacker Jordan Hicks to Texas

Five-star Jordan Hicks (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) announced for the Longhorns Friday at a 12:30 EST press conference held at Lakota West High School.

He picked Texas over Ohio State and Florida. Alabama and USC were previously included with Hicks' top schools.

Always hate to lose a top in-state player, but we all knew he was a Texas fan from the beginning. I'd much rather lose out to a classy coach and program than to the drama queen down in Florida.

Luckily for us LB is not a position of need this year (OSU is pretty stacked at LB right now) which minimizes the feeling of losing such a great player from our own back yard.

Good luck next year... Colt's injury was a disappointment to all college football fans outside Alabama. Made the game feel so anticlimatic it just didn't feel right.
