Hi Derek. Any chance your performance tonight accelerates the chances you become a Blue Jay tomorrow?

He was a badass tonight: 118 pitches, 82 for strikes. Fanned 10. Walked only one. Two hits.

A total badass.

He dominated. His breaking ball tonight actually made me think of Bert Blyleven.

He had all of his pitches working, and I think he could have beaten any team in the bigs tonight.

Holland is developed. What a badass. Loved his slider. He kicked everyone's *** and shouldn't have come out with one out to go.... He's so the real deal. Haven't seen anyone like him around in a long time.

I agree -- let others compete in the "rent-a-Halladay sweepstakes" and keep building for the future from within.
Also, it just dawned one that Horn69's sig
pic is from 1968
!!

If you'd been a December graduate, your last football team would have been the 1969 National Champions. You still would have had three of those guys, though!

I've always thought the 1968 Horns were actually better than the 1969 edition.

I didn't hear of the Rangers making any moves today. Right??

Rangers!

He grew up and played with a good friend of mine.
Said he's a pretty quiet guy and never really stood out in baseball, but he just kept at it.

Agreed. For them to make a big public deal about willing to trade and going thru the process they apparently weren't that sold on doing a deal or they would have done one.

You may be thinking of LHP Martin Perez, who is another of the Rangers' top prospects and whose name was floated in the Halladay talks, as well.

As many times as he's dominated us over the years, I don't care how he lost, just as long as he did.
