Hey, NBC: EFF YOU!

So, the coverage of today's, "signature event," of the Winter Games, to coin their own commentator, consists of showing 6 total skiers out of 50. What a joke. And, of course, after they show Bode Miller, who at #8 laid down the time to beat, they go to one of their multitude of commercial breaks, only to skip over skiers 9 thru 17. So, they show the Swiss skier at 18 and wouldn't you know it, he's the first skier who was able to eclipse Miller's time. Yeah...didn't see that coming. And the thing is, even if the men's downhill had run Saturday like it was scheduled to, NBC STILL wouldn't have shown the skiing live. They would have opted for basically what they did tonite and showed a handful of tape-delayed skiing, all in the name of ratings.

Then, they have the nerve to show the poor conditions of the ice inside speed skating oval and remark that because of that, they will be forced to show more pairs figure skating instead of the men's 500m speed skating final. Well, why not show more of the freaking men's downhill rather than rigged-judged skating??? Idiots!!!! Cannot STAND the way NBC fucks up Olympic coverage time after time.

ESPN kind of takes the drama out of it for me with their f'ing medal count at the bottom. Unfortunately, the skiing isn't live in primetime (other than moguls and I assume the boarders will be). I'm sure the pairs figure skating (or whatever they were showing last night - I was too busy waiting for A&M to piss down their leg) tests better than the downhill re-run, for whatever reason.

At least Lindsey Vonn will be forced down our throats over the next few days.

I blame NBC solely for making me tune to the USA network to watch the hockey game. Should be on NBC.
