Not the spectacular nos tonite for Herschel but not bad--and the win over Klein has the Eagles playing for a state championship for the first time in c. 50 years.

Herschel picked up 120 yards on 24 carries breaking Sneezy Beltran's single season record for rushing (cue the Sneezy jokes). HS did pick up two critical touchdowns and had a KO return of about 70 yards that was big. “It feels real good,” Herschel Sims said of reaching the finals. “We played our butts off today. It wasn’t our best game, but we found a way to get the job done.” (Too lazy to link)

Good piece on HS. Don't particularly like his childhood favorite teams(!), but talks like he's going to take his time and carefully evaluate his options. If so, I would like our chances.

Well it was his cousin that went off tonight in the championship game. But Herschel had an amazing 60 yard run and Abilene denied Katy their 5th title of the decade.
