HEROES 9/22

The first hour was decent. The second hour seemed to be obsessed with becoming so self-indulgent as to render itself irrelevant. Way too many plot points and twists and turns. Me fears it is becoming "Lost" lite.

Because LOST is some measuring stick against which all past, present, and future shows must be judged? Give me a break.

It was a good start to a new season. Infinitely more interesting than last year.

That being said, nobody is being forced to watch it against their will.

Hated it. Simultaneously boring and confusing. I don't think I will waste any more of my time with this mess. If I hear differently, I will watch it on DVD.

Honestly this is going downhill. Frankly it's gotten to where you have to have a chart to keep up with all the twists and many of them seem either unnecessary, illogical or just plain silly. I'm kind of where I was with Lost around season 2 (but way moreso) in that it feels like they're just making it up as they go along. Lost redeemed itself and then some, so I'm willing to give Heroes the benefit of the doubt for now. But it's not looking promising after today.

The Petrelli shooting ploy was incredibly hackneyed, totally contrived and just made no sense at all. How many of you guys if you had a chance to go back and prevent a family member from doing something disasterous would do it by GOING BACK IN TIME AND SHOOTING HIM??? Come on!

Its the same story as last year essentially. The future sucks so let's change it. They should have left time travel out of the show entirely. It makes the plotlines stupid.

The show is salvaged by Claire, Maya, and Niki just being there. Peter and Hiro make bad decision after bad decision.

I think Bennett is my favorite character. Suresh needs to figure out the problem with his super power shot and give some to Bennet. **** will get done then.
