Holy shiza! That episode was crazy!

This whole jumping between time is starting to give me a headache though, but is intersting at the same time.

Spoilers ahead!!

Peter with Sylar's power! Holy schnikees, how's this going to turn out? He's got the hunger now. Plus Sylar as a Dad in the future? That was pretty funny.

I totally called it that Daphne was Parkman's wife in the future!

Claire is kinda hot with the dark hair.

Molly didn't look old enough for being 4 years older, but I guess they probably couldn't do that much with it

The older Patrelli is getting it on with both of Ali Larter's characters. TWINS! What happened to his family though. I don't remember

Hahaha I didnt know we had Heroes fans on Hornfans!

Yeah I agree.. Peter killing Future Nathan was pretty whack. The "hunger" is lame. I wish it was more like the first season. But I still really enjoyed this episode and this season is a LOTTTTTTT better than season 2.

How did future peter die? He's ******* got Claire's ability!

When they are all standing around the house in Costa Verde, did peter just conveniently forget that he's the baddest Hero on the planet??? That was infuriating! Duh, just stop the damn time, disarm slutty looking black haired Claire, pin the other two up against the wall, and then ask Claire what her major malfunction is!

Sadly, HornBud, I agree with you. By sadly, I'm usually the guy defending plot holes (see any Signs thread). But, in this case, some of the stuff has gotten a little ridiculous.

Still like Claire, though.

Healing abilities or no, if something is stuck in Claire or Peter's brain, they don't come back to life until it is removed. Claire stayed dead for a day with a tree branch stuck in her head. Peter stayed dead with a shard of glass stuck in his head. When they were pulled out, they woke up. If someone goes in and pulls that bullet out of Scar Peter's head, he will wake up, too.

their powers are controlled by a portion of the brain. if that portion of the brain is struck, they can't use their power, explaining why they can't heal. If you remember from season1, peter took a shard of glass to the back of his head, and did not heal until it was removed from the back of his head. and as a previous poster said, Claire did not heal until the tree stump was removed from the back of her head

Sylar took Ted Sprague's power in season 1 when Sprague was being transported to another location. Sylar flipped the paddy wagon over, opened up the back and sawed off Sprague's head while he was hanging upside down from his shackles.

ok, I can buy that for a dollar, except I don't recall him being shot in the head, but if you say so, I can go along.

I still think peter blanking on his powers when confronted by claire was bs tho.

So why exactly did past-peter kill future-nathan? We've presumed at this point that Syler kills so that he can "steal" the powers... but that is Peter's natural power... so he shouldn't need to head cut.

I like sylar better when he stole powers because of his feelings of inadequacy. This "hunger" thing is just irritating. Clearly they are trying to find a way for Sylar to stay on as a good guy. That said, Heroes switches good guys and bad guys around so much I hardly care any more.

Season 3 is better than season 2 so far... but it still sucks.

Also, why was Peter trying to scalp Nathan when he already has his power? The writers are outsmarting themselves. Things made a lot more sense when everyone assumed that Sylar ate people's brains to get their power and Peter absorbed them by being around the person.

Here here.

I beginning to think that Tim Kring is a poor imitation of Chris Carter, in as much as he keeps screwing up a good initial concept by insisting on being involved too closely. Can you imagine what Carter would have done with the X-Files if he had today's cheap (cost) special effects?... well, I guess you could just watch Fringe... and Heroes. Regardless, Heroes seems to suffer from Kring's continued involvement.

This has a midichlorians vibe. You don't have to try to explain everything. Things like this are better left to the audience to work out for themselves.

I think the thing which will eventually get me to give this show up is that the storylines change less than the characters do. Three seasons in and we are still trying to undo the future, we'v ejust mixed up the good guys and the bad guys. Nothing has progressed, we've just added more characters. You would think that by now that we'd have built a foundation on which we could place our suspended disbelief, but no. Just bad acting, recycled storylines, and special effects which get less impressive the more often we see them.

HornBud, Sylar's power is not inquisitiveness, rather his power is to know exactly how things work. Why look under the hood if you already know what's there and what its doing? And if all he is doing is taking a look, then how is he gaining the power? And unless his knowledge isn't intrinsic and requires actually looking at the thing, then what good is Sylar's power going to be in fixing the timeline?

Also, there seems to be some indication that the head cutting / telekinesis is part of Sylar's power... it isn't he acquired those from the first guy who he offed with a knife.

In order to understand exactly how the something works, there is the need to look under the hood, that's where this hunger nonsense comes from. It's all a bit screwy at this point anyhow and they are kind of going in all directions with it, because it doesn't really seem like they know what they are doing. At any moment, I'm half expecting someone take a logo off their shirt and throw it at someone while it expands in mid air and turns to saran wrap and ensnares the target.

HornBud, it seems like several times in the first season we saw Sylar claiming to know how someone's powers worked prior to wacking their dome off. In any event, if Sylar has to physically see something to understand it... then how does Peter use the power to resolve an unsatisfactory timeline?... not to mention how does that help Sylar acquire the power? I think the very fact that you and I are having to have this conversation says there is a problem. That problem stems from the fact they change the rules on us every five minutes.

I'm just getting frustrated, that's all.

^^ yes I did, and come to mention....why the **** does future peter even have a scar????? There must be some connection with all of this?

Remember in season 1 when Sylar took the super hearing power from that crazy mechanic lady? It messed him up for awhile because he couldn't control the power and the slightest noise was deafening to him. That doesn't really make sense now that Sylar is supposed to be able to understand how something works immediately upon encountering it. Shouldn't he have known how to counter that right away? The writers opened a serious can of worms with this. They really should have stuck with the brain eating.

If the Haitian was the reason why future-Peter went down from a chest shot, then he should have popped back up with the Haitian left the room.

The reason why we can't agree is because there is no internal consistency.
