It appears that Herman Cain may be preparing to withdraw from the race.
I really hate how this has all played out for him here. This whole episode has positively reeked of low-down political scumbaggery and smear politics. He certainly has not been given the benefit of any sort of fair treatment here.
However, at this stage, it is hard to see how he can win. However, it should be noted that regardless of the sexual harassment allegations, his support held up well until he stumbled several times responding to foreign policy questions.
Nevertheless, he is likely done. And the probable beneficiary of this decision, if it comes to pass, will almost certainly be Newt Gingrich.
