# Lunardi: Duke closes in on No. 1 overall seed Insider.

I'm not an insider, anybody who is an insider, maybe you can post the article.

wow, I didn't even consider them a #1 until yesterday, and this guy has them the top #1.

I guess we should expect it.

Of course, everyone else on ESPN yesterday was saying that OSU, KU, and UT still (even after the losses this week) are pretty much locked up as the current #1 seeds, with the 4th being between Pitt, Duke, and SDSU.

So maybe they have an Ohio State, Kansas, and Texas bias too?

Keep in mind, Lunardi didn't have Duke as a #1 seed last week, let alone as the #1 overall seed. So if there's a Duke bias from him, he apparently saw the light in the last 6 days.

Tend to think Duke would be the fourth one seed and if we arent a 1, I would love to be the 2 in their region. Much rather be two in Duke's region than a 1 with a tough Big East team as our #2.

Texas needs to be in the San Antonio Region more than they need to be a 1 in another Region.

Kansas should not be a #1 seed. Two double-digit losses in conference after a cupcake nonconference schedule do not a #1 seed make IMO.

Last night several ESPN anaylsts were quizzed about who they thought would win it all and NONE of them mentioned Duke. Doug Gottlieb picked Texas while Vitale picked Ohio State. Other teams picked were Kansas and Pittsburgh...

But no Duke so the bias is not necessarily there...

remember there is also a regional in New Orleans, which isn't a very far trip as well... wouldnt be terrible to be placed there. obviously not nearly as close as SA but still only half a days drive.
