Help Soaked Firewood

I'm supposed to cook four briskets tomorrow, but I just realized that my firewood is soaked because of all this rain. Should I go ahead and try to find some firewood somewhere or should it be ok? My pit is a cutom job that lights the firewood with propane. Any suggestions/advise would be appreciated.

There are lots of people that intentionally soak their firewood. I personally don't think it makes much difference one way or another except maybe to make the wood burn slower and lower.

I have used my gas grill to get around this problem in the past -- I put just one burner on low, and put a few logs on the grill, with the lid closed. It kind of "steams" the moisture out of the wood -- really, it's just like baking it dry in an oven.

Then, I put the pre-heated, drier logs on the fire, and they start right up. At least the moisture on the outside, where they first catch, is gone -- and once they catch, the rest steams off quickly.
