HELP! Best Cell Phone Company?

First, if this has already been discussed before (recently), someone can just give me a link to that thread. If not....
Can I get some input on who you think is the best cell phone company? I have been with Cingular for almost 12 years, since it was SBC. I just made 3 separate phone calls and spent over 30 minutes on the phone to try and ask these morons about a promo on a $250.00+ phone. I'm trying to buy something from them and they're customer service, or lack there of, is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, despite my being with them for as long as I have and having never been late on my payments, they won't do any sort of additional "loyalty discount" for me. They have from time to time in the past, giving me a credit of $50 on my bill, but they weren't willing to do that today. I think it's crap that someone who has been with them for so long can only receive the deal any schmuck off the street can get.

So, with that being said, I am looking for a cell phone company that has good customer service (none of them are great, but I'll settle for good at this point), awesome rate plans, and cool deals on new phones
.

Thank you in advance!

I'll go with Verizon as well. Been with them for 2 years and never had a problem. Sprint on the other hand sucks massive amounts of ***. I hate them and everything they stand for. do not use sprint

I've been with Verizon for about 6 years now and it has always had excellent service.

I love it when someone with another service can't make a call from a certain place and mine has like 4 bars on it.

And one more thing, don't listen to anyone who works for a cell phone service because they are going to tell you that theirs is the best and everything else is crap.

I've been with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile (currently & 3yrs+) and T-Mobile has by far the best customer service of that group. Coverage off the beaten path was best with Sprint though.

I, too, vouch for Verizon. I switched last year from Sprint and not a single problem with Verizon. Dont even think about sprint, i had problem the same day i bought it.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I appreciate it.

It sounds like Verizon is the way to go.

I know Sprint is horrible. They've always received bad reviews, despite their clever ads.

Gardere - I think you're the only one who has had a pleasant experience w/AT&T. My ex had them before going to T-Mobile and he was so furious that he did pay to get out of his contract.
