Hell of a game tonight

Watched it online. We had two solo home runs in the third and fourth and they got the two back in the 8th. It looked like we were going to give the game away as we had bases loaded no outs in the bottom of the inning and didn't end up scoring. Same in the ninth when we had a runner on 2nd no outs and he couldn't get it.

Some big *** center fielder for the Mavs hit a home run in the top of the 10th and we got to bases loaded no outs AGAIN in the second half of the inning and couldn't get anyone in until Cameron Rupp hit a shot that hit the warning track in left center that the LF couldn't get to.

Horns win 4-3 in 10!!!!

Great win.......but , as I watched it I got flashbacks of the last two years where we couldn't hold a lead, couldn't get a clutch hit, dumb base running, pinch hitters who didn't come through,......THEN CAME RUPP !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought for a minute we were going to have a coaching controversy. Tommy was 3-0 and Augie was about to go 0-1 with Tommy tossed early.

I hope this is just one game. At one time we had two runs on 12 hits. That is awful production. I thought we lost our concentration at the plate tonight. It was not one of our most efficient games offensively. Chance Ruffin did not have it tonight but all pitchers are going to have some hiccups in a season.
 
That big guy for UTA is Michael Choice. He was named to the All-Southland Conference team by multiple publications going into this season...Last year, as a Freshman, he hit .376 with 7 HR's and 51 RBI's and was named to 5 post-season national All-Freshman teams...

and he lives in my apartment complex...
 
Oh, and I love TexasSport TV. I live in Austin and could not go to the game and watched the whole thing on my computer, also. It is great.
 
Hey Texasfight, is that apartment complex the one on Collins? right before you get to campus on the left? When I was there in 95-97 thats where all the atheletes lived. I've heard it's radically different since I was there. My fraternity house is gone and new student center, etc. I worked in the athletice department in the SID;s office when McBroom was coach and Clay Gould was an assistant. Sad to see Clay go.
 
nope...its at the SW corner of Mitchell and Cooper...Centennial Court...a lot of the athletes live here...one of the basketball players lives 2 apartments over from mine...Choice lives in the back part of the complex...
 
Ahh Cooper is what I meant, and ya Centennial Courts. Get the C streets mixed sometimes. How bout J. Gilligans, it still the place to go? I miss the Irish Nachos...

Nonetheless, looks like the Mavs might have a good year this year, and have some real talent.
