Anyone have knowledge of what HEB has planned for their property on Buffalo Speedway where the old Lubys used to be? I note that Molina is closing in the across the street strip center. Also, looks like other businesses in that Center are closing as well. With Kroger Signature Store across Buffalo, what is HEB going to do?

My guess is it will be the new HEB combo store and it will kick the **** out of Kroger.

If it's anyhing like the HEB-Plus stores it'll be like a nicer, Texas version of a Super Wal-Mart.

I had no idea Oma & Opa's came in that many variations outside of NB. It was really incredible, my wife now refuses to shop anywhere else. Of course, it's not like we have alot of options here in Goliad. But I would even say we dig it more than the fancy-schmancy grocery joints we had in the Woodlands.

anyone else notice HEB has .77/lb Fresh Spareribs in the Houston stores this week?

Well, my son knew about some parts of the deal said that the whole shopping center is going, that includes Buffalo Pharmacy and Buffalo Grill. Allegedly, the development will include more than HEB.

Buffalo Grill stays. That family owns the land where the center is - HEB only has a ground lease. Everything but the Grill will be torn down.
