Rented a nice house near Tulane with a pool, close to St. Charles Streetcar and stumbling distance from several bars and neighborhood eats.

The Nevilles are back, resuming their traditional Fest-closing slot on Sunday 5/4. Randy Newman on Thursday (my 6 year-old son the Pixar freak is very stoked), Stevie Wonder & John Prine Friday, plus all the other stuff that really makes it worth the trip...Lil Buck Sinegal, Sherman Washington and His Zion Harmonizers, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Fi Yi Yi and the Mandingo Warriors, Henry Butler, John Boutte, Deacon John, Irma Thomas, Santana, Goldman Thibodeaux and His Lawtell Playboys, the Roots, Amanda Shaw.....
And food. I will eat like a gluttonous monarch. Crawfish pie, crawfish beignets, crawfish monica, fried crawfish po-boy, shrimp everything, Central Grocery muffs, Tujague's, Antoine's, Mandina's, Liuzza's, and all that other good ****.
This is a weekend I live for.
