headed to beijing

for a conference the second week of june. going with the wife.

definitely going to take a 1-2 day tour to shanghai to check out the worlds fair they have going on.

besides Tienanmen square, the great wall, forbidden city...any other must sees/do's/eats?

I hear that they have good Chinese there. The pizza is supposed to suck, though.

Good question. I've always had a local take me around. I'll say something like I want to buy art and he would take me to a huge market.mall. It really helps in the choice of restaurants and ordering food. Your sights are all full day trips. Summer palace, forbidden city, great wall...
