Head East was one of the few "big" bands that would regularly play at our little rural Missouri college, along with Ozark Mountain Daredevils and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. My lasting memory of Head East is from the front row of one of their shows, thinking "that guitarist really doesn't need to be wearing tight stretch gold lame' pants".
