Can I use this as an hdtv monitor:
The Link

Has DVI in and widescreen aspect so i assume yes.

Have 50 inch DLP upstairs want something downstairs.

Was thinking I can use this on my secondary computer and also use as TV monitor too. Have a normal directv box downstairs might get hdtv box downstairs if this can be used as monitor.

PS the 2001 fp version of this monitor is BAD ***. I have one for primary comp.

The 2001 rocks the hizzy, i think it would be neat to have the widescreen to watch dvds and hdtv on, plus lots of new games support widescreen like WoW.

I just bought that bad boy last week the 2005fpw for 475. That thing is a bad mofo!

I'm pretty sure you can get HDTV on it but I think it only supports 720p and lower, not 1080i.

I'm thinking about getting an ATI HDTV wonder, which is a hdtv tuner card for my pc to test it out wiht OTA signals.

Half Life 2 has widescreen and it looks bad *** on it. Plus alot of older games u can edit the config to get them widescreen.

oh also, on the avs forums they said somethign about it not having hdcp support so im hosed for hd, any comments

I was on a deals site called Bensbargians.net, they had a code for 25% off and u could combine that with a 75 off 500 or more coupon.

Did u buy it ? didn't u arrange a 3-some not to long ago, send those chicks my way...

Its a bad *** monitor, some girl saw it and wanted to suck me off cause of it.

yeah but still there's some stuff about whether it can process the signal, hd uses different compression or something.

geeks on avs say you can do it you jsut need an adapter.
