How long before, or can someone tell me we can do it now, record our HD TV onto an HD disc. Like having a BluRay recorder. I would love, like all of us, to be able to save my DVR'd Horns games in HD onto some medium from the DVR.
The dvd's I have captured just, even with upgrade player, don't do it justice.

BluRay burner on computer, so could you hook this up somehow to record an HD broadcast, or is there a way to record from the DVR onto the computer?
Not a techy obviously but what would be the benefit of the HD burner on the computer other than for home video editing if you have a HD camcorder, etc.

^HD-PVR ftw. It takes advantage of the "analog hole", the chink in HD DRM. The loophole could theoretically be closed in the future, but that would also require making most older HDTV sets with analog/component inputs worthless. For the time being, the HDPVR is the most straightforward way to pull HD content from your cablebox to your computer. You do anything you want with it once its on the computer (burn, archive, stream to television, share with a friend).

I don't have first hand experience with the software that comes with that thing, but from what I understand you can burn the capture from that thing to a format that is compatible with standalone brd players, the PS3 and the 360.

cool, I may have to look into this. I hate losing every year all my HD Horn games.
