HD Receiver Question

Okay, I have a HDTV and DishNetwork. I was going to wait until I could get a HDTV Tivo for Dish, but I have decided to wait another year to see if I want to go back to DirecTV, Voom, or Dish.

All I want now is an off-air HD receiver to get local channels in HDTV. Any suggestions? Do they require an external antenna? Everything I see on Ebay is tied to either Dish or DirecTV.

Seems like there ought to be one out there for about $200.00.

Are you aware you can get an HDTV DVR from TWC Houston. They carry the networks as well as ESPN HD starting next week.

I've got Dishnetwork for my non-HD TV watching and also TWC for my HD. It works great.

That looks pretty good, thanks for the tip.

I think ultimately I need to nut up and just go back to DirecTV and get the HDTV Tivo. The thing that sucks is I don't get any promotional juice because I used to be a DirecTV customer.

Mission accomplished.

Created new DirecTV account in wife's name, got the free install and dish to go along with Mr. HDTV Tivo. Realized that now I had a silver Tivo, silver DVD, and therefore Mr. Denon, who is black, would feel left out. Enter new Mr. Denon, who is silver, and ridiculously more power than I ever will need.

This, of course, will lead to new speakers, which is what I am researching now.
